This course has been designed to give the student basic first aid skills and information in what to do initially in the case that someone is injured or sick. It includes assessing the situation, applying First Aid, Basic CPR and recording and reporting the situation.
This course is a pre-requisite for LVR training.
Low Voltage Rescue (LVR)
UETDRRF004 – Perform rescue from a live LV panel
This course is for electricians and workers who act as an observer where electrical work is undertaken. This course includes: equipment identification, risk control, legislative requirements and rescue procedures for if a person comes into contact with LV live electrical conductors, panels and equipment.

Blended/E-Learning
(Online Learning and Theory Assessment + Face-to-face Practical Assessment)
Participants completing this course via the Blended/E-Learning delivery method must complete all learning and theory assessments online through the aXcelerate Learner Management System (LMS) and then contact the Krause Health and Safety Mount Isa administration team to organise the corresponding practical assessment session to complete their practical assessment.

The Basic First Aid & LVR course aims to provide knowledge and skills for equipment identification, risk assessment, legislative requirements and rescue action plans for if a person comes into contact with low voltage live electrical conductors, panels and equipment and requires basic life support.
There is no prerequisite training for this course.
All required learning materials are included in the course fees (refer to our Course Fees). All you need to bring are closed-in shoes and a readiness to learn.
This course combines and covers both CPR & Low Voltage Rescue and is for electricians and workers who act as an observer where electrical work is undertaken.
This training is required to be undertaken every 12 months for all electricians and trades assistants working in the electrical industry.
